Improve your grammar skills through use of CD-ROMs, ESL web
sites related to our materials, and other teacher-recommended resources.
This course allows you to focus on your individual needs.

English
Listening
Improve your listening skills through exposure to a wide range
of listening materials, such as taped speech, songs, books, radio, and television
shows. This course focuses almost entirely on listening skills. Learn to
understand everything you hear. Improve your comprehension of English by
developing your listening skills.
3.
Accent
Reduction
Improve your pronunciation with the assistance of a specialized
audiocassette course. Begin with a focus on the vowel sounds. Then move
on to the consonants. The last segment focuses on American intonation patterns.
Speak more clearly and be understood.
4.
Computer Skills
Enhance your computer skills while practicing it in English.
Topics include: word processor, spreadsheet, database, Internet & E-mail,
use of language and test preparation software, graphic design & web design.
5.
Song Lyrics
Learn popular folk and contemporary songs. Improve your listening,
vocabulary, and pronunciation. Discover more about American culture through
song lyrics.

It’s not enough to know grammar rules and grammatical structures.
You have to know how to use your knowledge to communicate. Improve your grammar
by using it! In this course you will engage in different kinds of communicative
activities to practice tricky grammar topics.

American Idioms
This course develops comprehension
and use of everyday idioms. Lessons will be based on ESL textbooks.
9.
Public Speaking
Learn to present yourself confidently in front of a group.
Students will give readings of short stories and poetry. They will also learn
how to address a group in order to make brief statements.

Survival English
Study the English you need to live in the United States. In
this course, you will learn new vocabulary through practice dialogues and
role-plays. Weekly contact assignments help you practice what you learn in
real situations.

we study cultural similarities and differences. We’ll look at gestures, body
language, intonation, and English conversation styles. You can communicate

To understand a country you must understand its past. Learn
important names and dates and understand their significance. See how the
past continues to have an effect on American society today. Improve your
reading, vocabulary, conversation, and writing while learning about American
history.

Review English grammar, build vocabulary, and develop reading
and listening skills.

Power
The core of this course is the study of 300 difficult but
common words that are important for any students wanting to improve their
vocabulary or prepare for test s such as SAT, GRE, GMAT, TOEFL.

Creative Writing
Improve your self-expression by developing advanced writing
techniques such as narrative, description, and the development of plot and
dialogue.

Advanced
Reading in English
Learn specific reading skills: scanning; previewing and predicting;
determining topics, main ideas, and text organization; skimming; making inference;
summarizing.

studies are used. Discussion topics include: marketing strategies and entrepreneurship,
international trade, import/export, investing, and the stock and bond markets,
travel business, globalization, innovation, management styles, e-commerce,
etc.
**Students should choose classes in all skills indicated, and in equal number. Please keep in mind that if you decide to follow a different course of study, you will be fully responsible for your progress.
